Welcome to our global creative community! Irys was built to celebrate creativity, self-expression, and meaningful connections through photography. We’re excited you’re here—and we’re committed to keeping this a safe, respectful, and inspiring space for everyone.

Please take a moment to read our community guidelines. By using this app, you’re agreeing to follow these rules and help us shape a positive environment for all.
 

Be Kind and Respectful

We’re a diverse community from all around the world. Treat others with kindness and respect, even if you disagree. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or targeting anyone based on their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or any other personal identity is strictly prohibited.
 

Share Responsibly

We love seeing your creativity—but make sure the content you post is your own, or that you have the proper rights to share it. Copyright infringement (posting images you don’t own or don’t have permission to share) isn’t allowed.
 

Be Real

Don’t impersonate individuals, public figures, or organisations. Your profile should reflect who you are—honesty builds trust in the community. For transparency, we offer three types of profiles: individual, collectives/groups, and brands/organisations. Groups and organisation will have gone through a verification process.
 

Respect Creators When Curating

This app is built first and foremost for creators to share their own work and stories, in their own voice. That said, we welcome curated accounts when they're here for the right reasons—spotlighting creative work, sharing inspiration, or offering thoughtful context and education.

If you're reposting, it should never be for self-promotion or personal gain. Always credit the original creator clearly, tag them whenever possible, and honour any takedown requests promptly. Curation should elevate the work, not redirect the spotlight.
 

Keep It Clean

Spam, scams, misleading content, and self-promotion that disrupts the user experience are not allowed. This includes repetitive comments, fake accounts, or any attempt to manipulate the app.
 

Nudity & Artistic Expression

This app is intended for users aged 18 and older, and we welcome the artistic exploration of the human form. Nudity is allowed only when shared in a respectful, creative, or artistic context.

However, there are clear boundaries:

• Consent is non-negotiable. Photographers and artists must have clear, explicit consent from any person depicted, especially when nudity is involved. You may be asked to provide proof of consent and documentation upon request, especially for sensitive or high-risk content.

• Any content that exploits, objectifies, or endangers individuals will result in immediate removal and can be reported to law enforcement.

• Pornographic content or sexually explicit material designed primarily for arousal is not permitted.

We value freedom of expression, but it must always be paired with responsibility and respect for others’ rights and dignity.
 

Handle Violent Content with Care

We don’t allow content that features or promotes gratuitous violence. Graphic imagery, glorification of harm, or content designed purely to shock or disturb isn't welcome here.

We recognise that some creative or documentary work may explore themes of violence, conflict, or war. In these cases, context matters. Such content should be presented thoughtfully, with clear intent and, when appropriate, content warnings. The goal should be to inform, reflect, or question—not to sensationalise.
 

Moderation & Reporting

We actively moderate the app and encourage users to report anything that violates these guidelines. If you see something harmful or suspicious, please report it. We review every report and take appropriate action.
 

Consequences

Breaking the rules may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans or account deletion —depending on the severity and frequency of violations.
